Teddy Bear Hospital – The Teddy Bear Hospital is a public health project for 3-7 year olds. It offers the opportunity for one-to-one consultations with children, increasing confidence for students, whilst reducing childhood anxiety about hospitals and doctors, and promoting child health. |

Crossing Borders - Crossing Borders is a national network of students interested in refugee healthcare issues. We work to improve the health of refugees and asylum seekers through practical action, education, awareness raising and campaigning. |

Marrow – Marrow’s main aim is to give everyone the chance to sign up to the national bone marrow register, and possibly save the life of someone in need of a bone marrow transplant. |

Sexpression - Sexpression educates young people in sex and relationship issues and aims to empower them to make informed choices about their reproductive health. |

Homed - HOMED works with healthcare students to promote understanding of and encourage engagement with issues relating to homelessness and social exclusion, such as drug addiction, prostitution and mental health. |

Open Art Surgery – Open Art Surgery is a project which involves volunteer students going into the Queens Medical Centre paediatrics wards. The volunteers carry out art therapy sessions with the children in which they are given a chance to socialise with each other as well as express themselves through art. |

The Kashmir Appeal
In October, 2005 the South Asia Earthquake devastated a whole region and killed over 80000 people. The Kashmir Appeal wishes to support the MDAUK charity, set up by a group of doctors from the East Midlands. The charity aims to improve the rehabilitation and health care of the Asian earthquake victims. They wish to build and run a 30 bed charity based hospital in the worst hit region of the earthquake. Medsin Nottingham aims to help with fundraising for this hospital and to raise awareness amongst students regarding on-going healthcare issues after a natural disaster. |

IFMSA Exchanges - The IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations) is the largest student organisation in the world. The exchange program offers a unique educational and cultural experience giving students insight into medical and social conditions in different countries. It is also a great opportunity to escape from the UK for a month, improve a foreign language maybe and make lots of fun new International friends.
